Marks horse Cisco who turned 30 this year is being put out to pasture with two of his old mule girlfriends, Maggie and Lucille for their remaining years. They will be home here with us for the rest of their lives.
We are sticklers for taking good care of our old horses and mules, they served us well for many ,many years and deserve some quiet time in that final stage of their life!

Cisco, Mark , packing into the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
Cisco was purchased in 1990 as a young horse. He soon learned to cross rivers, and logs, forge his way through the brush, navigate very narrow high mountain trails, pack out game, and get Mark the 20 miles into camp many, many times. Hard to say how many miles but a lot!!!!!!!!!!
He was also used to get many guests ages 9 to 75, the 20 miles to camp, and could be trusted completely. HE WILL BE MISSED!!!!
Lucille & Maggie
Lucille & Maggie, were purchased in 2000 along with 5 other mules and are the only two remaining, we know for sure that they are at least in their upper 30s and maybe even 40. Long good life for a mule! They packed many loads of gear and game in and out of Salmon Forks in the Bob Marshall Wilderness many times and never had a major wreck or refused any load. They were always kind and gentle, loved treats and loved their ears scratched! They will be hard to replace!

There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man!!!!!!!
